How D and A became Days of Architecture Sarajevo
Our landscape of care is Sarajevo. Each spot shown in the video is one piece of us, one piece of place where we all met, grew up and where we decided to challenge set paradigms. It is not just us who grew, these places also developed and changed with us. Using our letters in the video, making them come to life, we wanted to show that we don't consider our individual presence in this organisation as the most important factor - the idea behind Days/Nights of architecture goes beyond people! <3

Days of Architecture is an annual architecture event held in Sarajevo (B&H) with a peculiar genesis: it was born in 2008 not from the city, but from the enthusiasm of architecture students, eager to discover more than their faculty was allowing them to do. Since then DA has blossomed to host more than 150 lecturers from 35 countries, growing into one of the most important architectural events in the Balkan region. Its twelve past editions show a track record of discussions, workshops, pilot projects, exhibitions, screenings. The event managed to activate and be a reference for the local design community, as well as in the countries of Ex-Yugoslavia. The Days of Architecture connects the communities of students and professionals with the general local community. Along with the 12 years of organizing a DA, a new format of lectures was introduced in 2016, under the name of Nights of Architecture. NA offers a more dynamic, single-standing series of online and in-person events organized to keep the local community active. Today two events are creating a platform for triggering new perspectives against what is too often perceived as inevitable.
