The Room of Yet Unpublished Books
For Future Architecture Rooms we propose a meaningful discussion about the role of academic and cultural institutions in the construction and publishing of contemporary critical discourse. It is a safe space of self-reflection about the work we do. We intend to use this space to collect experiences, search for support and also enhance constructive disagreements, with that spirit of affective dissensus which we presume to progressive thinkers. Along 2021 we will collect testimonies, reflections, questions from agents we consider have something relevant to say to start exploring this issue, with the aim to assess the level of inclusiveness of our institutions, and the kind of narratives and ideologies we are helping to spread. In any case, we foresee this space of reflection that we are opening now, will become over time an observatory that facilitates the inclusion of other voices to address from care, affects and intellectual inquiry, the racial question in the institutions which we work with. We intend that this room will help us to understand how to move from "care for" to "care with" while exploring these issues.

dpr-barcelona is an architectural research practice based in Barcelona founded by Ethel Baraona Pohl and César Reyes Nájera, dealing with three main lines: publishing, criticism and curating. Their work explores how architecture as discipline reacts in the intersection with politics, technology, economy and social issues. Their publications, both digital and printed, transcend the boundaries of conventional publications, approaching to those which are probably the titles of architecture in the future. They were Curators of the third Think Space programme 2013J2014 for the Zagreb Society of Architects (DAZ) and CoJcurators of Adhocracy Athens for the Onassis Cultural Centre, Athens 2015.
