Pandemic Encounters
Developed by students at the University of Kassel under the direction of Theo Deutinger, Pandemic Encounters is an analysis of the daily choreography needed to maintain the physical distancing rules put in place in the wake of COVID-19. The film forms part of a larger collection of analyses on the topic of “pandemic space,” which was added to the S AM exhibition “Under the Radar” (16.11.2019 - 30.08.2020) in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
Concept, direction, and film: Julia Rocho and Daniel Paul
Camera: Johann Taillebois
Developed as part of the seminar “Der pandemische Raum” with Guest Professor Theo Deutinger at the University of Kassel
S AM Swiss Architecture Museum is the leading institution dealing with issues of contemporary architecture in Switzerland. S AM specialises in temporary exhibitions. With an average of four exhibitions each year, around the museum’s key programme elements "interdisciplinarity" and "history and the present", S AM appeals to professionals (architects, engineers and planners), but also, primarily, to the broader public with an interest in architecture. The exhibitions are supplemented by means of guided tours, podium discussions, talks, conferences, workshops, work presentations, accompanying publications from the S AM series and similar. In addition to the exhibitions, S AM also operates as a specialist platform for exchange and networking.
